Group V-Trans India Ltdwhich was formerly known as Vijay Transport Co. was founded by late Shri Kunverji K. Shah and brothers in 1958. The company which began as a humble regional player with two trucks plying between Maharashtra and Gujarat has since then steadily expanded its operations into the entire nation including North East.
In 2001-02 after a major corporate makeover Vijay Transport Company became V-Trans India Ltd. with two additional divisions V-Xpress an Express Division and V-Logis a Logistics Division; under the umbrella of Group V . While V-Trans takes care of the customer Hard Freight transportation needs V-Xpress manages Express Cargo (Surface & Air) and V-Logis provides Customized Warehousing and Inventory Management Solutions thus becoming the customer s single window solution provider.
Presently V-Trans is a prominent logistics service provider having its presence over 400 locations in 26 states and Union Territories of India and is constantly expanding its network to make its services available in every part of the country. Today on an average V-Trans India moves approximately ten million articles weighing over 12 lakh tons worth rupees 20000 crores of over 1 lakh customers per annum.
One of the company s greatest strengths today is its infrastructure and it has extensively invested in them across the country. Our godowns with platform level bays are situated at prime locations and are equipped with latest material handling equipment for seamless operations.
Our branches are 100% Computerized and networked through our customized ERP program eCargo allowing our clients access to information & to trace and track their consignments online.
